I live in Burke, Virginia with my wonderful wife, Michelle and two children (11 and 9). I enjoy spending time with my family, playing sports (running, biking, basketball, and recently, soccer) and reading. I also enjoyed coaching my son's baseball team this past spring.
From 1991 to 2001, I played competitive ultimate (Frisbee) during which time I met my wife, who used to practice with my team in South Carolina. I also played with teams in Virginia, New Orleans/Baton Rouge, LA, San Diego, and Washington DC through my playing years. We lived in Los Angeles for about two years before returning to the Washington, DC area in 2001.
It seems important to me to try to improve the internal operation of LECG, especially when it comes to our junior staff. I oversaw LECG's recruiting effort for junior staff in DC for about 7 years, hiring aorund 60 analysts over that time, and have also been active in training and general management of our staff.
Recently, I have also organized the internally popular LECG flag-football game between seniors and juniors each December (the seniors have won four years and the juniors have won one year thus far in the competitions)).
